Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a used in combination with conventional therapies or when these are unable to be used for some reason. It is especially useful for pain relief in conditions such as hip dysplasia or back pain. Sarah and Stephen are fully qualified veterinary acupuncturists and can advise you if acupuncture is suitable for your pet.
Dentistry
Dental disease is very common in pets. Our nurses run free preventative dental care clinics to advise you on important factors such as diet and tooth brushing. We also offer scale and polishing and dental extractions should they be required.
Endoscopy
Endoscopy allows us to examine and take samples from internal structures such as the airways, stomach and intestines without the need for invasive surgery.
House visits
Home visits can be arranged for those clients who cannot bring their pets to the surgery or in circumstances where they would prefer their pet to stay in a familiar environment. For routine consultations it is best to see pets at the surgery to allow quick access to veterinary facilities.
Imaging Xray
We have the latest xray facilities including digital processing allowing us to produce high quality images and store them easily on computer.
Ultrasound
we have a portable ultrasound machine with high quality software allowing us to examine in detail internal structures such as the heart, liver, kidneys and bladder without the need for general anaesthesia.
Medical patients
We pride ourselves on the high quality of our medical in-patient care and have a dedicated vet and nurse each day in charge of our kennelled patients so that they receive genuine 24 hour care.
Nurse clinics
Our nurses offer a wide range of free advice clinics including weight control, dental hygiene, puppy and kitten clinics, worming, flea control and seasonal issues such as firework phobia prevention and treatment.
Pet Passport Scheme
Our vets are qualified to issue pet passports according to the DEFRA regulations – planning ahead is essential before taking your pet abroad so please ask us for advice about your pets needs
Surgery
We offer a full range of surgery at Haygate including soft tissue surgery such as routine neutering, lump removals and more advanced surgery . We also offer a range of orthopaedic surgery including fracture repair and knee ligament (cruciate) surgery
